Two Players Win Match 5 Prizes as Powerball Jackpot Remains Unclaimed

(AsiaGameHub) –   Two lottery participants have claimed million-dollar Match 5 awards from the Powerball drawings held on Saturday and Monday. The winners are located in West Virginia and California.

Neither the Saturday nor the Monday Powerball drawing produced a jackpot winner. Both events, however, did yield Match 5 prizes. The Saturday drawing resulted in a $2 million prize for a West Virginia ticket holder, while the Monday drawing awarded a $1 million prize to a player in California. The final amount for the California winner may differ from the standard Match 5 payout, as prizes in that state are determined by ticket sales.

Power Play Boosted Payouts for Several Saturday Winners

The numbers drawn on Saturday, May 23, were 4, 16, 41, 48, and 66, with the red Powerball 26. The jackpot for that draw was an estimated $132 million, with a cash alternative of $58.1 million.

The West Virginia winner’s $2 million prize was achieved by utilizing the Power Play multiplier, which doubled the award.

The Power Play feature also enhanced the winnings for three players who matched four white balls and the Powerball. Those players received $100,000 each. Nine other players who matched the same numbers without Power Play won $50,000 each.

Monday’s Drawing Delivered Significant Prizes to Multiple Players

For the Monday, May 25, drawing, the winning numbers were 17, 32, 48, 60, and 64, plus the red Powerball 10. The jackpot had grown to $142 million, with a lump-sum cash value of $62.6 million.

Although the grand prize went unclaimed, a California participant matched all five white numbers to win a $1 million prize, subject to the state’s variable prize rules.

Additionally, ten players matched four white numbers and the Powerball. Nine of them won prizes of $50,000 each. The tenth player had the Power Play option active, earning $100,000.

The jackpot has now increased to an estimated $154 million and a cash value of $67.7 million. The next opportunity to win will be this Wednesday.
