(AsiaGameHub) –   An online player has won a lottery jackpot worth over $4.31 million in Dublin, Ireland. When the lucky, still anonymous player claimed the prize on Saturday, May 23, the jackpot’s original value stood at more than EUR 3.7 million. This marks the third Lotto jackpot won in 2026 so far.

The player opted for the Quick Pick option, meaning their lottery play had no real premeditation. This choice aligns with the belief that lotteries are purely random outcomes—there’s no need to fixate on number symbolism or fall into the trap of the gambler’s fallacy.

The winner can now claim the exact jackpot sum of EUR 3,731,996. The winning numbers for the ticket were 8, 12, 24, 25, 33, and 45, plus a bonus number of 41. The lottery has also contacted the winner through their online account to inform them of this life-changing event.

This is the second lottery jackpot claimed in May. Previously, a player won a EUR 8,726,418 ($10.13 million) jackpot on May 2. That player also used a Quick Pick ticket, which they bought at an Applegreen Ballymount.

While information about the winner remains fairly scarce, the lottery has confirmed that the individual has already reached out to arrange collecting the prize.
